1996 Porsche 911 (993) Turbo – PTS Silver Metallic
Delivered new in Belgium and finished in Paint-to-Sample Silver Metallic, back when PTS was something rare and exceptional. This 1996 993 Turbo combines elegance with formidable performance. The triple-zero paint code on the option sticker confirms its special-order color; while it has been repainted once for freshness, it remains accident-free and true to its original specification. Showing 165,000 km and just four owners from new, it comes with a very nice service history that speaks to careful ownership.
In 2024 the car’s 3.6-liter flat-six received an engine revision addressing some minor issues, bringing it back to perfect running condition. It will be sold with a large scheduled service, so it’s ready for immediate enjoyment.
The 993 Turbo is widely regarded as the ultimate evolution of the air-cooled 911. Its twin-turbocharged engine produces 408 hp and delivers a ferocious surge of power with minimal lag, thanks to the parallel K16 turbo layout. A six-speed manual gearbox, a first for a 911 Turbo, makes full use of that output, while the all-wheel-drive system derived from the 959 supercar ensures exceptional traction. Compared with the standard 993 Carrera, the Turbo features a wider rear track, reinforced suspension, and larger brakes, giving it remarkable stability and cornering confidence.
Performance remains formidable even by modern standards: 0–100 km/h in about 4.5 seconds and a top speed near 290 km/h, all accompanied by the unmistakable character of a true911.
