The Sciàdipersia is a four-seater fuoriserie coupe. It is hand-built exclusively to order, in a strictly limited edition of.. one example!
Innovative, bucking the current trend for aggressive treatments, Sciàdipersia reverts to a sporting style subtly hinting at the exciting designs from the Seventies: the low-slung front, clean side surfaces with edgy junctions, and a substantial tail.
As with every masterpiece, it all starts with a simple concept: the arrow, slimming down the centre sections to extend the perceived length. Its natural dynamism is further enhanced by the front and rear fender ridge lines.
The highly polished aluminium trim is juxtaposed with hand-brushed satin finishes, to orientate the light reflection in subtly different ways. Another tribute to craftsmanship, a testament to the coachbuilt nature of the car.
Unusually, but fittingly for a full four seater, passengers are immersed in the surrounding natural environment thanks to the extensive glazing and the vast glass roof, permitted by the slim architecture of the rear pillar.
It goes without saying, that a full bespoke luggage set in matching blue leather is included with the car.
The backstory of the 5000GT:
In 1958, the Shah of Iran, a man of immense wealth, and a keen collector of fabulous motorcars, beguiled by Maserati, asked them to build something really special for him fitting the 450S racing engine to the 3500GT chassis. He commissioned Touring Superleggera to design the coachwork. This was to be a car to flaunt his royal status, exuding all the qualities attendant on that. This new 5000GT was named after its owner, and instantly became the world’s most exclusive and exotic gran turismo. Today, Touring Superleggera takes inspiration from this extraordinary heritage to create another masterpiece: the Sciàdipersia.
