1964 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 4.2L – Stunning Color Combo

We’re proud to offer this stunning 1964 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Fixed Head Coupé, delivered new in Belgium and retaining its matching-numbers 4.2L engine.

Ownership History:
•  First owner: 1964–1980
•  Second owner: 1980–2018
•  Third owner: 2018–present

The current owner invested in a professional respray in the original color (documented with photos), as well as a full engine rebuild. In April 2025, the braking system was also fully overhauled.

The heart of the car is the incredible 4.2L engine — producing 265 horsepower, it delivers truly impressive performance for a car of its era. Strong torque, smooth power delivery, and a top speed over 240 km/h made the E-Type a performance benchmark in the 60s, giving the Ferrari's and Aston Martins a proper run for their money.

Combined with the improved gearbox and braking over the earlier 3.8L cars, many consider the Series 1 4.2 the best-driving E-Type of all. It’s the perfect balance between raw performance and timeless elegance.

A Brief History of the Jaguar E-Type:
Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1961, the Jaguar E-Type caused a sensation with its sleek design and impressive performance. Capable of achieving 150 mph, but costing a fraction of the price of rivals with similar performance, it was the affordable supercar and became an instant icon — remaining on sale for 14 years.

Its influence is still apparent in Jaguar's modern range: cars that offer a peerless blend of performance, comfort, cutting-edge technology, and award-winning design.

This particular example runs like a bullet and drives incredibly smooth. A rare opportunity to own a mechanically sorted, matching-numbers example of one of the greatest classic sports cars ever made.
